WORKSHOP:
Regional Exhibits
As our Specialized Training on Child Labor draws to a close, there must be a valuable storehouse of snapshots living in your memory: faces of children; faces of employers, supervisors, family; the dusty, dingy backdrops of worksites; the smiles amidst them all. And beyond these emotionally-charged experiences, we hope you have come to grips with tangible, real-life encounters with the ills of the working child.
Capture all these discoveries in your REGIONAL EXHIBIT about the child labor situation in your region. Update us from when we saw your exhibit last. Add the new things you found out: these are your growth points. As before, use what you will to share your discoveries with us. There will be guests from ILO-IPEC and DOLE who will come to view our exhibits, so include them in your audience.
Remember: while you regional exhibit should be aesthetically pleasing, it must never detract from the main points about child labor that you wish to highlight. Substance and essence remain to be more meaningful than form in this exercise, as in many other things.
